About Us
ta-lus n [F, fr. L talutium slope indicating presence of gold under the soil] 1: a slope formed especially by an acculumation of rock debris 2: rock debris at the base of a cliff
Ross has good ears. Anyone who has been out West and has gazed across the seemingly endless open spaces there has seen these long slopes that lie at the foot of mesas and mountains. They are striking in their massive scale and simple beauty, a symbol of the limitless potential that exists everywhere, even in the desert. We chose the name Talus as an echo of a line in the title track of Mike Collin's Desert Anthem album:

"The desert before you, the angular plain . . ."

We hope our productions will have an impact on you that is as great as the one created by the angular plain, or talus, seen from Gates Pass just West of Tucson. Enjoy!

When not producing, Ross enjoys chewing on "chords."
